Much could be said about this study Bible written by Charles Stanley. Instead, I will keep it short and to the point. This work captures 30 life application principles in the Word of God that Pastor Stanley has learned over his decades worth of ministry. An Encouraging Bible:
I have been using the Life Principles Bible for a solid 18 months now and use it for my daily readings. Charles Stanley's comments help to calm my mind and focus on feeling the Word. Whether this is the same for every reader I cannot say but as my first Bible Stanley's comments have helped me to engage my mind in the Word of God.
The Bible is excellent, the editing is not:
Nothing against the NKJV text, the Answers to Life's Questions, the Life Principles or the Life Lessons commentaries/teachings. They are excellent! I particularly like how Dr. Stanley takes pains to point out God's promises. I believe this Bible would be an excellent resource for a new Christian. However, I ordered the 6th edition and wish I'd waited for the next one coming out in 2010 because enclosed with my Bible came an errata page listing over a dozen editorial errors - not in the biblical text itself,... more info

I have owned this Bible for about a year now and its a great asset to my spiritual walk! The life principles that God has so graciously given us is amplified by the wonderful insights Dr. Charles Stanley provides.
