I have been agonizing over which version of the Bible to get for my own personal studies for almost a year. I found this one on Amazon and put it in my cart. For a week lol. Great study Bible, love the NKJV, it's so readable:
This is a wonderful study Bible with decent size print and lots of good notes. Just love the introduction to each book describing the author, the times, and even an outline. Throughout this study Bible are some interesting cultural notes and there's a huge concordance and a subject index as well. There are beautiful maps and I haven't even looked at the enclosed CD yet. Excellent Study Bible:
Found verse commentary and explanations to be more clear and understandable compared to the ESV study bible. I also like the format of the page with the main text in two columns with a lean middle column containing references. The bottom half of the page is verse explanations. Color headings draw your attention to the subject of a set of verses and in my opinion, help navigate the text more easily. On the con side, I wish it came with a built in bookmark for the price.
